Is anyone with an LVAD experiencing gout ?

Watch my diet and take Allopurinol.Havent had any episodes since getting the LVAD.

O'Neal Isom, Jr., Before my LVAD installation on 10/20/2012 in 2008 I had the worst gout attack and had to take several rounds of antibiotics. Please go on-line and take a look at the foods you should not eat and eliminate them. You mentioned Allopurinal but my Podiatrist who got me through that ordeal said Colchicine now Colcrys is you friend. If you feel it coming on and take Colcrys it will stop the attack. Natural remedy is some good organic cherry juice. It has worked for me in the past but I have not had any issues in a couple of years once I know what triggers the incidents for me and avoid quantities of that food.
