Help us build a strong LVAD community!

The science is strong.  LVAD therapy provides years of meaningful life to those with advanced heart failure.  At MyLVAD we want to create the community infrastructure that will allow them to live life to its fullest!

Building a community infrastructure that centers around giving the patient and caregiver the resources to feel confident in their self care while transitioning their everyday needs and concerns away from the implanting center where resources can be better utilized caring for sicker patients (bad wording).

At MyLVAD we want to focus on creating and supporting that community.  With your sponsorship our goal is to

1. provide community health care providers information to help them support the patient in the community in the form of 30 second videos designed to provide vital knowledge in snippets that are both informational and transitional to their view of MCS patient care.

2. develop educational materials to allow patients to learn and review the critical knowledge necessary for self care...while providing the documentation necessary for implanting centers to meet their regulatory needs.

3. strengthen the community of patient resources through written, interactive, and peer support efforts to allow patients to volunteer their knowledge to those looking for connection.

4.  Maintain our ultimate standard of providing unbiased, reliable information to patients with advanced heart failure.

The primary goal of the MyLVAD Foundation is to provide reliable resources for people who are affected with advanced heart failure.  Whether considering support with a ventricular assist device (LVAD and/or RVAD) or mechanical circulatory support device (MCSD) or already dependent on one, we strive to provide unbiased and up to date information to provide support recipients and families throughout their journey.  The therapy is designed to extend life, we want to make sure that they have the resources to live.

Through sponsorship, we are able to provide content and resources to patients through an interactive social networking site as well as additional created content developed through years of listening to patients.  In the past, the financial burden associated with maintaining, updating and creating new resources has come from private donations and educational grants.
