How do you keep your vest from smelling like hockey equipment?

I received a HeartMate3 3/10/20.

I ride a Catrike Villager 5 days a week.

I sweat profusely.

I've tried everything to get the smell out.

Can I put my vest in the washing machine?

Yes you can wash it. I hate the vest and the bag. I use a fanny pack. Shop around. The first one I got was too small but then I happened upon a tactical bag like hikers wear. Everything fit in perfect. I wear it around my  waist hands and sweat free.  Try it!
