It is our mission at MyLVAD to help improve the quality of life and outcomes for people living in the LVAD world. This includes not only patients and caregivers but the medical professionals who tirelessly care for them. Evaluating patient satisfaction is not only an important part of improving the care and outcomes of your MCS program but is a regulatory requirement for center certification. Currently, there is no standardized way of collecting or comparing MCS-specific satisfaction data among centers.
Programs want to be responsive to MCS patients' unique issues. The Joint Commission requires that patients have a voice in the care they receive. Collecting and analyzing patient satisfaction data in an unbiased manner is a challenge every program faces. In keeping with our commitment to our mission, MyLVAD continues to provide the opportunity for MCS centers to participate in our Recipient Satisfaction Survey. We are committed to helping each center better understand the needs of its patients.
