My understanding is that the MAP, Mean Arterial Pressure, should be between 65 and 90. It appears as if they are trying to lower the MAP so that the pressure created by the pump doesn't collapse the left ventricle by drawing too much blood out for circulation. Might be incorrect, but that was the explanation I got when the slowed the pump and increase blood pressure medicine.
Thanks for the reply, that makes sense. I was running 90 in the hospital for several weeks so not sure what happened but will see in another two weeks.
