Your story/journey after receiving an LVAD

Hello My name is Bassit Nawaz, I was your average university student living a healthy and active lifestyle while making time to study and was on the path to obtaining my Bachelors Degree in Science’s. Yet at the age of 21 I caught viral Infection that caused severe ventricles dilation resulting in heart failure. I lost 20kg of muscle in 4 months and had to go for surgery after my left side of my heart was only working 6%. Currently living with a L-VAD (Left Ventricular Assisting Device) waiting for a heart transplant. Still I’m living my life with blessings and happiness, also hoping to receive a new heart and get to reach my dreams of becoming a doctor. Now I plan to spread awareness for Heart Diseases and spread knowledge about the LVAD Device on my Instagram @BassitNawaz
