Condolences for your loss. May I ask how long has he been on LVAD and what caused his passing? My husband just had his LVAD surgery on 12/10/20 and we are new to this journey. We are getting ready to be discharged today. What may I ask do you have available? And what area are you in? We are in Salt Lake City, Utah. Again, our sympathies for your loss and may God bless you and give you strength in your time of mourning.
My husband had his LVAD for 4 yrs 1 month. His last year was difficult. Oct. 2019 developed a Short to Shield ( wiring inside shorted). He had a new. LVAD put in in Feb. 2020. We were home for about 2 months and he fell, back in the hospital with a gash in his leg and some bleeds that had to be found. The return home was short he got infection throughout his chest and around his pump and had several operations to remove the infected areas. He was in and out of the hospital because of breathing complications . In Nov. 2020 he told the Team , I’m going home. It was his choice . Nov. 24, 2020 he left us to join the Lord. He fought hard, was brave, strong , never complained. We were able to be together for those 4 years that we may not have had. We live in Wisconsin and most of the time we’re with the Mayo Rochester,MN. Spent some winter months in the Phoenix Mayo, with a team there. They are both magnificent teams. Very proud to be part of there care.
Hang in there, love the life and time you have. Life is short however you look or live with it. Thank God for everyday. Susan
My sympathies for your loss. We are in Salt Lake City for his healing and recovery process. It’s only been a few weeks since he’s had his LVAD. I understand nothing is in our control and to enjoy whatever times we have. Wish you strength and healing for your loss. God bless.
Hi. I'm sorry to hear about your husband. It's certainly a hard road for anyone taking this journey.
Hi my husband is just over his one year mark since implant. We would love to have all the items pictured but desperately in need of LVAD shoulder bag. His zipper broke and the LVAD team hasn't been able to get him a replacement. Even if they do, we will need a spare bag just in case. We would be glad to pay for shipping. Prayers for you and your family.
I have equipment I’d like to pass on. My husbands. I have heard that some patients have done this and their hospital checks it out. Heart mate II.
