Looking for Advice

my wife went to hospital on 1/3/17 for heart transplant evaluation. they hospitalized her scheduled a lvad surgery on the 10th on the 7th they put her on induced coma and ecmo had surgery on the 10th from the 10th to the 16th was on a breathing machine on 16th had emergency surgery for blood clots around the heart the next day went into refib and had to be shocked today is the 1/27/17 still on breathing machine they wont take her off because she can not follow commands eye are open and tracking but can not move arms,hands,legs,and sometimes can wiggle one toe. ct shows negative they say she is very weak and has gone through a lot and my need time and today in surgery again for teeth to be removed very frustrated can any body relate to this.help

Jimmy, I am truly sorry for what your wife and you are going through right now. I was in her shoes in 2013. I had very mad MRSA infections in my legs, my teeth and finally my heart. I was intabated for 9 days and on the 10th I snapped out of it. Spent a total of three months in the hospital. And to be sure that her Doctors and staff are doing everything possible for her. I have had my LVAD since 2013 and in May it will pass 4. I suppose what I would like you to know is that you are not alone. There are many of us who have experienced the same. Some worse some less. Our bodies can handle a lot of stress and when we decide to snap out of it and come back we done. And in my case with a vengeance. All that I can share with you is it difficult for everyone involved. LVADs and Transplant patients and their Medical teams are all very special people. When all is said and done. We walk the line, no heart beat, no pulse, but awake and driven. Talk to your wife even when she is asleep or under. She can hear you. And as long as she knows someone cares she will find a way to fight back. If it were not for my Doctors, Nurses and Staff, let alone my wife and kids I would not have pulled through. So take a knee and let her know. You're a good man Mr. Jackson.
