HeartMate 3
Thu, 01/04/2024 - 8:53AMHello everyone, I hope your all doing well and looking forward to the new year.
Unfortunately, I lost my husband on Christmas Day. But his the getting the LVAD gave us so much more time to spend with him and make some incredible memories and we will be forever grateful and miss him dearly. I was told by the LVAD team and that his equipment cannot be used by them in the hospital, and they cannot offer it to other patients and to discard it. But before I do that, I thought someone would be able to use extra batteries, battery charger, the wall unit (not sure what it's called). I have cases of drive line dressing changes and just purchased two new LVAD shirts for him size 3x. (He only weighed 165, but the shirts ran small and a little snug in the 2x) Also have 2 handmade custom vests that holds the batteries and controller, 1 of which was never worn.
I live on LI in NY and if anyone is interested in any of the items please email me at colleen20@optonline.net.
Wishing you all a very happy and healthy new year.
