Understanding Daily Lives of LVAD Patients and Caregivers

Hi all,

I’m sharing below a research opportunity for patients and caregivers. 

My colleague Mireille is a PhD student at NYU Meyers College of Nursing and currently doing her dissertation research study. The goal would be to understand how patients and caregivers manage their lives in the context of the LVAD therapy while identifying things that may support them or get in their way. 

We will collect data from patients and caregivers separately. Patients and caregivers can join our study on their own, whether or not the other person joins.

We are attaching a flyer that has the details about this study and if you may qualify to enroll. 

After signing the informed consent form, participants will be expected to complete 2 study activities: 1) an online questionnaire in a secure website called REDCap that takes less than 30 minutes to complete and (2) an online interview using Zoom for about 30 minutes. Each participant will receive a $25 electronic gift card as a small token of appreciation after completing each of the two study activities for a total of 2 gift cards.
