16 months with my LVAD

I am right handed - I think being right handed makes it easier

My LVAD saved my life and my quality of life is great!!!!!!!!!

Driveline goes to the right which means your controller will be closer to right hand

I use Underarmour (go to underarmour website)football shorts with pockets intended for thigh & hip pads instead i place batteries in thigh pockets and controller in right hip - pleated shorts or dockers make the equipment nealry invisible and allow plenty of comfort for playing golf - surgery & recovery are a challenge but 3 to 6 months into it life gets real normal

trust your lvad team and beleive

I asked my surgeon to put on my left side as i sleep on my right side. You can personally request whether the drive line goes to the left or right, they will respect your wishes and health wise it doesn't matter which side its on!

I am right handed but mine is on the left side of my belly button. I do not like where it is because it is at the same height as my pant line so my pants so if I wear tight pants it hurts it.

I had my LVAD put in on the 23rd and it is on right side. I haven't had and problems..
